Crypto Prediction Markets

Crypto prediction markets use stablecoins or blockchain infrastructure to settle event contracts. They can offer broad coverage and deep global liquidity, but UK access and protections differ from licensed betting exchanges.

How crypto markets settle

Most contracts trade between zero and one unit of a stablecoin, then settle at one for the winning outcome and zero for the losing outcome. Resolution rules and the named data source decide the result.

Bitcoin and crypto event markets

Markets may cover price thresholds, protocol launches, regulation and exchange-traded products. These are event contracts about crypto, not direct ownership of the underlying asset.

UK considerations

Crypto settlement does not create UK consumer protection. Check whether a platform accepts UK users, how funds are held and what route exists if a market resolves incorrectly.
